National Philanthropy

Phi Gamma Delta strives to constantly excel in service. This year we have an international goal of $1,000,000 donations and 200,000 service hours. Our Fraternity also has two national philanthropies, The American Red Cross and the United Service Organizations (USO).

In 2004 the Fraternity began a partnership with The Red Cross and since then chapters have developed strong relationships through successfully executing a variety of projects with their local Red Cross.

USO is a nonprofit, congressionally chartered, private organization that lifts the spirits of America's troops and their families millions of times a year all around the world.

SERVICE

"We encourage Service. We have the ability, the opportunity, and the duty to serve our fellow human beings. Our reward is the satisfaction that comes from serving."

Gentlemen's Showcase

In Spring 2013, FIJI and the sorority Chi Omega joined for the third annual Gentlemen's Showcase. The event auctions off the fraternity brothers of other Greek organizations in order to raise money for the B+ Foundation, helping kids fight childhood cancer. We are already working at beating our last amount of $5,525 raised for this coming Spring.

The B+ Foundation is about kids heling kids fight cancer by providing financial and emotional support to families of children with cancer, and by providing childood cancer research grants.

Greek Participation

Phi Gams never settle for less. This is why we are continually participating in Greek-run events around campus, as well as normal campus-wide events. Our participation, academics, and effort have allowed up to become one of the highest assesed IFC Fraternities at the University of Delaware, constantly achieiving Gold CAP (Chapter Assessment Program).

Our participation also shows our love and support for the Greek community as a whole at the University of Delaware. Allowing our Greek Nation to stive and succeed.

For the Community

Service from Phi Gams doesn't stop outside of the University of Delaware. We participate in walks, clean-ups, and even puppy adoptions outside of campus. We provide support for the community that surrounds us, especially for those in need.

Another community-wide event we participate in is UDance, which benefits the B+ Foundation. Long before this dance-a-thon takes place, we begin collecting money to raise funds for families with children suffering from cancer. This year we are excited to announce our new hero, Colin!
